Hurricane Harvey Relief Opportunities

We have received an outpouring of inquiries from our community asking how to best help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. While we are still waiting for the storm to pass and to better understand the full impact, we want to provide our families and our students opportunities to address the most feasible and pressing needs.

Provide Prayer
  • Please email Fr. Mel Bridge the names of your family and/or friends directly impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and he will add them to the Daily Prayer list in Chapel.
  • Each Division will create a prayer wall for families or individual students to display names, notes and photos of loved ones affected by Hurricane Harvey. This tangible activity reinforces the need for community and the power of prayer, particularly while we're waiting to learn the extent of the damage and the specific needs of our Texas neighbors.
  • The Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools has paired us with Trinity Episcopal School in Galveston (approximately 200 students in PK-2 through grade 8) which has seen hurricane destruction twice in the last ten years. In 2008, they suffered major flooding from Hurricane Ike, and although their campus fared Hurricane Harvey relatively well, approximately 10% of their families experienced major flooding and were displaced. We will keep you posted on specific opportunities to assist with our new partner school.
