Preschool Readiness

All Saints' uses four primary categories to determine preschool readiness. Every child is unique in strengths and challenges, and students who have not met all benchmarks may still be ready to enter preschool. All Saints' faculty are exceptionally prepared to have conversation about readiness and about how we might support your family to find the next best steps. Social Emotional / Independence Skills

Students are fully potty trained, can manage emotions when separating from parents, carry their own belongings, and know names of familiar people and body parts. They should also be able to sit and listen for 5-10 minutes. 

Cognitive

Students can sort objects by color, complete small puzzles and follow multi-step instructions. They should also have exposure to letters and counting numbers.

Language

Students can name and age, and have 2-3 sentence conversations.

Gross and Fine Motor Skills

Students can run and climb easily, can hop and jump, follow a line and have exposure to using child scissors.
