Upper School

Thinking deeply and leading with character.

Upper School students graduate prepared for college and a lifetime of independent learning through exposure to challenging and traditional coursework, discussion of diverse ideas and development of essential skills like writing, research, analysis and presentation. As students collaborate and innovate in the exploration of their intellectual passions, they find themselves well-equipped to effectively take on college coursework and post-collegiate opportunities.

Curricular Travel

We want our students to not only learn about diverse cultures and unique perspectives, but also experience them first hand and up close! Travel is one way we enrich classroom learning and develop more empathetic global citizens. Past trip locations include Japan, Switzerland, NYC, Washington D.C., and more!

Upcoming trips include:

Iceland

From glaciers to volcanoes, Iceland offers an unforgettable backdrop for discovery. Students will hike a lava tube in Reykjavik, visit Skogafoss Waterfall and black sand beaches, soak in the Blue Lagoon, tour a volcanic eruption site, and try their hand at geothermal baking.

Singapore

Known as the “Lion City,” students will experience the ultimate in cultural immersion with this trip! Highlights include Gardens by the Bay, the Cloud Forest Waterfall, Chinatown, go-karting, and a traditional BumBoat river cruise.

Greek Odyssey

The Classics Department will host a tour of Ancient Greece during the Summer of 2027.

Puerto Rico

This will be an unforgettable week of service and fun in a beautiful setting during the Summer of 2027.
